Our key areas of expertise are to build local communities and develop and maintain our clients\' critical infrastructure assets, including network maintenance and management for road, rail and water assets. Our clients include federal, state and local governments, public utilities and major private organisations.

Downer EDI Works are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician to join their Albury Wodonga based team. Reporting to the Laboratory Supervisor, you will ideally have laboratory and/or quality control testing experience in the asphalt industry. Applicants with soil testing experience will also be highly regarded.

Essential to the role:

Qualifications:
VCE or equivalent education level required.
Tertiary Education or equivalent training highly regarded.

Experience:
Experience in quality control testing.

Skills:
Commitment to the environment, quality and safety.
Outcomes focussed with a thorough understanding of the factors affecting end product and result.
Strong interpersonal and organisation skills.
Good numerical skills.
Ability to adapt to a constantly changing work environment.
Capability to use initiative and meet deadlines.
Front End Loader and / or Forklift Ticket will be highly regarded.Must hold current drivers licence and OHS certificate.

Knowledge
Knowledge of the asphalt industry would be an advantage.
Knowledge of bituminous surfacing would be an advantage.
Knowledge of Quality Assurance would be an advantage.
